With all the rain we've been having, the river is up again. Well, you know what they say, May showers bring June flowers... or something like that.
The ducks and geese at James Taylor Park were happy with it. They're able to swim in and out of the picnic tables again.
I watched a group of Canada Geese for a while as they made their rounds on the Licking River. They would swim upstream on the Newport side where the current is fairly slow, then cross to the Covington side and ride the much swifter current back. They could really pick up some speed doing that. Then they'd go back and do it again.
Looked like a lot of fun.
